ROLE INFORMATION
A leading company specialising in high-quality construction materials for residential and commercial projects is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our commercial team in a technical sales capacity.
This role combines strong engineering expertise with sales responsibilities, focusing on promoting and providing technical solutions using our premium construction materials. The position involves significant field work, client engagement, and driving business growth through technical consultations and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the technical point of contact for clients (contractors, architects, engineers, project managers, developers).
• Provide expert technical advice on material selection, application, performance, and compliance with construction standards and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for clients.
• Identify business opportunities, develop leads, prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Support pre- and post-sales activities, including troubleshooting material issues, ensuring proper on-site application, and contributing to project success.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships to achieve sales targets and promote company products.
• Stay informed on industry trends, construction processes, regulations, and competitor offerings.
• Collaborate internally with sales, technical, production, and quality teams
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5years previous experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of construction site practices, material testing, quality control, and relevant standards/codes.
• Experience in construction, materials supply, or technical sales is advantageous
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently for out-of-office client visits, site inspections, and regional movement.
