We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Construction Engineer to oversee all civil and structural works for the construction of our 3,000MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Akwa Ibom State.
The successful candidate will ensure that all site activities are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in strict compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Job Description
Supervise daily on-site civil works, including earthworks, piling, deep foundations for heavy turbines, structural steel erection, and industrial building construction.
Ensure all civil works comply with project specifications, international codes (e.g., ACI, ASTM), and Nigerian environmental regulations.
Review construction drawings, technical specifications, and method statements to ensure accurate execution on-site.
Monitor contractor performance against the project schedule, reporting progress, bottlenecks, and potential delays to the Project Manager.
Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols on site.
Required Qualifications & Skills B.Sc./B.Eng/HND in Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years specifically on large-scale power plant projects (Combined Cycle preferred).
Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, geotechnical requirements for heavy machinery foundations, and industrial infrastructure.
Must be willing to work in Akwa Ibom State.
