We are recruiting for the following roles for a furniture manufacturing company located on Lagos Mainland.
– PRODUCTION MANAGER
Responsibilities
• Ability to develop a detailed furniture and fittings production plan, coordinate production process, supervise available resources and be able to deliver on pre-agreed terms, delivery timeframes, budget, quality and scope.
• Manage the production facility and production process. Ensure production process runs smoothly, safely, clearly and meets production budget and goals.
• Responsible for managing the furniture production, ensuring that all orders are executed to Clients’ requirement.
• Prepare cutting list from drawing and designs sent from the design architect for production.
• Oversee and work with Quality Control/CNC to establish and execute quality control processes.
• Oversee the production process that includes; cutting to measurements, edge taping, plaining of boards, designing a finishing, drawing up production schedule and setting targets for carpenters, floor hands, machinists and quality assistants.
– TECHNICAL PRODUCTION OFFICER
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare production drawings, edit designs using Sketchup .
2. Prepare accurate production cutlists, material list using Masscut.
3. Optimize material usage and minimize waste.
4. Operate production equipment such as panel saw, mortising machines, CNC,etc
5. Use hand tools efficiently.
– FLOOR SUPERVISOR/QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers who assemble furniture and fixtures of any materials,operate wood working machines and finish furniture to specified finishing.
2. Set up methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments.
3. Solve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
4. Implement production plans, and adjust schedules as needed.
