Procurement Officer
Location: Jabi, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦450,000 Monthly
About the Role
A luxury Real Estate and construction organization is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support the sourcing, purchasing, and supply of materials, equipment, and services required across our real estate, hospitality, and development projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Architecture and experience working within construction, real estate, or project-driven environments. This role requires a highly organized professional who can effectively coordinate procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
• Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and service providers for project and operational requirements;
• Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analyses, and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions;
• Prepare and process purchase orders, requests for quotations (RFQs), and procurement documentation;
• Ensure timely procurement of construction materials, finishes, equipment, and project-related services;
• Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and alternative sourcing opportunities.
Vendor & Supplier Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors;
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms to achieve value for money;
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues promptly;
• Maintain and update approved vendor databases and supplier records.
Project & Site Coordination
• Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, contractors, and site teams to understand procurement requirements;
• Track material requests and delivery schedules to ensure project timelines are met;
• Coordinate logistics and delivery of materials to project sites;
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock management activities where required.
Cost Control & Compliance
• Support budget control initiatives through effective procurement planning and cost management;
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures;
• Verify invoices, delivery notes, and procurement records for accuracy;
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and reporting purposes.
Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare procurement reports, supplier evaluations, and expenditure summaries;
• Maintain procurement trackers and purchasing schedules;
• Provide regular updates on procurement status, delivery timelines, and supplier performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (required);
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or project coordination within construction, real estate, or related industries;
• Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, and procurement processes;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace;
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, and project teams;
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities;
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
