Job Title: Corporate Commercial / Litigation Lawyer
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₦450,000 – ₦600,000/Month
About the Role
Permanent Capital Ventures is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Corporate Commercial/Litigation Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in corporate and commercial advisory, regulatory compliance, litigation, dispute resolution, and client management.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise clients on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and governance matters.
* Handle company incorporations, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and transaction documents.
* Provide legal support on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate secretarial matters.
* Conduct legal due diligence and prepare legal opinions and advisory memoranda.
* Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
* Prepare pleadings, briefs, witness statements, and other court processes.
* Develop litigation strategies and manage cases through resolution.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Support business development, networking, and client engagement initiatives.
* Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, interns, and support staff where required.
* Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in corporate, commercial, and litigation practice.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate commercial law or litigation.
* Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association with a valid practising licence.
* Demonstrable experience in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
* Strong advocacy, negotiation, legal drafting, and research skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and project management skills.
* Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
* High ethical standards, professionalism, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
