Job Description
Ethena Labs is in the process of creating the first crypto-based synthetic dollar protocol that accrues rewards. Arthur Hayes serves as a founding advisor, and the team boasts extensive experience in traditional finance and crypto engineering from reputable firms like Cerberus, Wintermute, Flow Traders, Deribit, Paradigm, Aave, Blockdaemon, and Kaiko. We have garnered support from major exchange and trading entities in the industry.
We are seeking:
– An engineer passionate about developing products/applications within DeFi.
– A candidate excited about the opportunity to join a founding core team and drive a product from inception to actualization.
– Someone with at least 2 years of experience in decentralized application development and is capable of providing examples of prior work.
– An individual who is naturally curious and eagerly seeks to grasp new concepts at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and financial principles.
Responsibilities include:
– Working on our core Web3 application, facilitating users to mint and stake USDe, and managing our off-chain Python infrastructure that handles custody positions and order routing.
– Directly collaborating with custody and exchange providers to establish information on the ongoing solvency and equity positions of internal accounts.
– The freedom to innovate within the realm of DeFi design.
– Collaborating with the team and cross-functional partners on all aspects of product development, including mentoring team members to enhance their technical and architectural abilities.
Requirements:
– Advanced knowledge of modern software development practices.
– Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and testable code.
– Familiarity with design patterns and object-oriented programming concepts, such as SOLID principles.
– Understanding of algorithms and their complexities.
– Strong proficiency in Python.
– Demonstrated experience working with GraphQL.
– Familiarity with our frameworks – NextJS and TailwindCSS.
– Strong understanding of Web3 libraries and tools like Viem, Wagmi, The Graph.
– Proficiency in full-stack, modern JavaScript: React and Typescript.
– Understanding of concepts like caching, edge functions, and RPC providers crucial for optimal frontend development in Web3.
– Fluent in written and spoken English.

Compensation: $125,000 – $175,000 per year
