Role Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager with FMCG experience to join our team at The Fat Butcher Nigeria Ltd in Lagos. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will play a key part in growing our business by driving sales, forging new partnerships, and identifying market opportunities within the food sector.
As the Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to expand our presence in the retail and hospitality sectors by promoting our wide range of meat, sausages, and chicken products. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to align business strategies, ensure excellent customer service, and meet revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute business strategies to drive sales growth and market expansion.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with new clients, distributors, and key stakeholders in the food and hospitality industries.
• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through consistent engagement and support.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to provide insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional strategies for new product launches.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and optimize product offerings.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and reports to stakeholders and management.
• Track and analyze sales data to evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, distribution networks, and customer needs within the food sector.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyze market trends and data to drive decision-making and sales strategies.
• Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Knowledge of meat and value-added products (such as sausages and chicken) is an advantage.
