We are recruiting for one of our clients, an organization of member firms with business primarily in sub-Saharan Africa and partnerships in more than 20 countries.
Role: CORPORATE INVESTMENT MANAGER; Location; Lagos; Mode: Hybrid
Salary: Negotiable
The Corporate Investment Manager will focus on understanding and navigating the
financial markets both locally in Nigeria and internationally, with particular emphasis on
trend analysis, investment strategies, and fundraising from HNI’s and other institutional
investors. Your main responsibility will be to raise the capital needed to fuel the
company’s growth while fostering long-term relationships with investors to secure
consistent financial liquidity.
He/She will be at the forefront of identifying funding sources, structuring financial deals,
and ensuring the timely injection of capital to meet liquidity requirements, while also
establishing an efficient investment strategy for excess liquidity.
Job Responsibilities
Lead Fundraising Initiatives: Spearhead efforts to raise capital from High Net-Worth
Individuals (HNIs), private equity, and institutional investors, ensuring alignment with business
expansion goals.
• Investor Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain strong, ongoing
relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and industry
regulators.
• Investor Engagement: Regularly engage with HNIs and institutional investors to
understand their investment priorities, presenting tailored business pitches to secure funding.
• Capital Structuring: Lead the structuring of financial deals, ensuring they align with the
company’s liquidity and capital needs, while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
• Liquidity and Capital Management: Monitor and forecast the company’s liquidity
needs, ensuring timely and efficient capital raising and investment strategies.
• Fundraising Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategies to source, secure,
and manage funding across multiple channels, including debt and equity financing.
• Due Diligence: Prepare investor-facing materials and support investor due diligence
processes to ensure successful capital raising.
Qualifications and requirements
A proven track record in raising capital from HNIs, institutional
investors, or private equity, with experience in deal negotiation
and execution.
• Familiarity with corporate finance processes, funding
mechanisms, capital markets, and financial regulations.
