*Job Brief*
We are recruiting for a budget-friendly hotel in Ajah, Lagos, seeking a dedicated Facility Manager to oversee the efficient maintenance and operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure the hotel’s infrastructure and services meet the highest standards, providing a safe, clean, and functional environment for both guests and employees.
*Duties*
Supervise and coordinate routine and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Prepare and manage budgets for facility maintenance and repair projects, ensuring cost efficiency.
Lead the facility team, including assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and providing training.
Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
Identify and implement energy-saving measures to reduce operational costs.
Ensure hotel assets are well-maintained and accounted for to extend their lifespan.
*The Ideal Candidate*
Proven experience of at least three (3) years as a Facility Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of building maintenance systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
Adept at identifying issues and implementing effective solutions promptly.
Experience in preparing and managing budgets with a focus on cost optimization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with staff, contractors, and hotel management.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
A degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications.
