Job title: Financial Controller
Industry: Hospitality/Real Estate (Largest Hospitality & Real Estate Group in Africa)
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Remuneration: Very competitive

Job Summary:
The position of the Financial Controller will have the primary responsibility of effectively managing all financial tasks, and overseeing budgets and accounts of the company.

The Financial Analyst Manager will be expected to:

•Complete all outstanding WLHC/LAL audits and ensure audits are completed within time going forward.
•Ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements including FIRS.
•Ensure that the group’s finances and liquidity are kept at optimum value.
•Ensure that all audited financial statements are finalized and signed as when due.
•Re-evaluate internal control processes and proffer amendments where necessary, particularly in payment procedures.
•Coordinate and prepare annual budgets, including operating and capital expenditure budgets.
•Ensure all taxation and legislative requirements are complied with at all times and coordinate the preparation of Tax computations (VAT and Company Tax)
•Provide support to the Management in decision-making associated with equity and funding of the Projects and identify any project or risk management problems and provide suitable solutions to mitigate the risk exposures.
•Report on activities at the Group’s Management Team Meeting and such other time/day as may be determined by the Chief Executive Officer.
•Oversee the Account/Finance team and review the activities of the account.
•Ensure that the Finance team meets the corporate goal.
•Undertake duties as directed by the Board and the Group CEO.
•Undertake all other tasks or duties that may be assigned to him from time to time as may be required to meet the needs of the Group.

Qualification:
•Minimum of at least 10 years’ experience in the finance industry and proven leadership and management experience.
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
•Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking abilities
•Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
•Expertise in risk management, compliance and internal controls.
•Good knowledge of the industry

Skilled Required:
•Expertise in financial strategy, planning, and analysis, with advanced knowledge of accounting standards.
•Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities related to capital management, risk, and investments.
•Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and advanced financial software.
•Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, tax laws, and corporate finance.
