ROLE – Group Energy Manager, JOTNA
Jotna Group is a leading beverage and raw materials manufacturing group in West Africa. The group is primarily into manufacturing in Africa, and it comprises of 3 operating business units, The Lacasera Company, Prima Corporation Ltd, and Engee PET Manufacturing Company which are significant players and leaders in their respective sectors.

Job Title: Group Energy Manager
Reports to: Group Head Technical Services
Location: Coker, Lagos
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to GHTS, the purpose of this position is to ensure Energy efficiency at both Supply side and the demand sides. Develop and implement energy-saving measures. Group Energy Manager will also be responsible for monitoring energy use, reporting on energy performance, and developing energy budgets.
The incumbent will report to the Group Head Technical Services
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Group Energy Supply Assurance
• Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption across the organization.
• Evaluate and implement renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, or geothermal, to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources.
• Research and recommend sustainable energy technologies and practices to minimize environmental impact.
• Monitor and report on the organization’s sustainability goals and initiatives.
Energy Efficiency Audit
• Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities.
Analyze energy data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
• Implement energy conservation measures and technologies to optimize energy use.
Cost Reduction, less Carbon Footprint
• Energy Consumption per Unit: Track the energy usage per unit of production or activity to assess efficiency.
• Energy Savings: Track the amount of energy saved as a result of energy management initiatives or projects.
• Return on Investment (ROI): Calculate the financial return on energy-related projects or initiatives.
Compliance, Excellence in Energy Usage
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with energy-related regulations and standards.
• Energy Management System Certification: Monitor progress towards achieving certifications like ISO 50001.
• Green Building Certifications: Track certifications such as LEED or BREEAM for sustainable building design and operation.
• Evaluate engagement and collaboration with energy suppliers to optimize procurement and efficiency.

Education
– Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant degree.
– Minimum 15 years cumulative Energy Management/Maintenance experience preferably in Multinational Manufacturing/FMCG/Plastics Environment.
– 10 years as an Energy Manager leading an Energy management team within a multinational FMCG/manufacturing.
– Knowledge of SAP is a MUST
– Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and concepts. Knowledge of different power supply methodologies.
– Strong technical knowledge in both electrical and maintenance fields.
– Good user for AutoCAD 2D Software (3D is a Plus)
