Job Summary
The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of financial transactions, maintaining alignment between collections accounts and settlement schedules. This role is critical in safeguarding financial integrity and operational efficiency by proactively identifying discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct daily reconciliation of all collections accounts, ensuring all balances are accurate and aligned.
– Validate successful transactions on payment gateways, escalating unresolved discrepancies as needed.
– Review and verify settlement postings from third-party processors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed financial terms.
– Monitor and investigate any suspicious transaction amounts or unusual patterns, escalating findings appropriately.
– Oversee chargeback processes, ensuring timely response from merchants and proper reconciliation of chargeback debits.
Requirements
– Maximum age of 27 years.
– Minimum of B.Sc. (Second Class Lower) in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
– At least 2 years of experience in reconciliation/settlement within a bank or fintech environment.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and financial reporting tools.
– Solid understanding of payment processing, settlements, and chargeback management.
– Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to financial discrepancies.
