Job Title: Production Accountant
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
The Production Accountant will be responsible for the management and handling of finance and budget throughout the course of the production.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and analysis of production budgets and forecasts
Track production costs and expenditures, ensuring they are allocated correctly.
Collaborate with production teams to gather necessary financial data and documentation.
Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate accounting records.
Assist in month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
ACA or ACCA qualified.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with production accounting software and tools.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Knowledge of industry-specific financial reporting standards.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Experience with data entry and financial reporting tools.
Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
