About the role:
As Managing Director, you will drive strategic growth, accelerate Assets Under Management (AUM), strengthen market positioning, and lead a high-performing team in delivering outstanding investment outcomes and client value. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
•Develop and execute the firm’s long-term strategic vision in line with shareholder objectives and emerging market opportunities.
•Drive AUM growth through innovative investment products, institutional mandates, and expanded distribution channels.
Investment Oversight & Performance
•Provide executive oversight of investment management activities across all asset classes.
•Ensure consistent delivery of strong risk-adjusted returns aligned with client mandates and investment objectives.
•Chair or contribute to Investment Committee decisions while maintaining robust governance standards.
•Foster a disciplined investment culture grounded in research, performance, and accountability.
Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Governance:
•Ensure full compliance with SEC regulations and all applicable laws governing asset management operations.
•Maintain productive relationships with regulators, auditors, trustees, and other key stakeholders.
Financial Management & Profitability:
•Oversee the firm’s financial performance, ensuring sustainable profitability and operational efficiency.
•Approve budgets, business plans, and capital allocation strategies.
•Ensure effective treasury, liquidity, and balance sheet management in line with regulatory expectations.
Risk Management:
•Establish and oversee enterprise-wide risk management frameworks covering market, credit, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks.
•Ensure proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
•Maintain alignment between the firm’s risk appetite and strategic objectives.
Requirements:
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
•MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
•Professional certifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent will be highly regarded.
Experience:
•Minimum of 12–15 years’ experience within asset management, investment management, or financial services.
•At least 5–7 years in a senior executive leadership role.
•Demonstrated success in scaling investment businesses and driving significant AUM growth.
•Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, capital markets, and investment management operations.
