Sales Team Lead
Location: Lagos
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and performance-driven professional to join our team as a Sales Team LeadThe ideal candidate will have strong experience within the mobile phone industry or device financing ecosystem, with a proven track record of managing teams, driving sales growth, and building strong channel partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and manage a team of at least 5 or more team members, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and achievement of business objectives.
* Develop and execute sales strategies to drive market penetration, increase revenue, and expand customer acquisition across assigned territories.
* Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with distributors, retail partners, dealers, and channel partners to maximize product visibility and sales performance.
* Monitor team performance regularly, set clear targets, and ensure consistent achievement of individual and team KPIs.
* Identify new business opportunities and establish strategic partnerships that contribute to market growth and expansion.
* Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to provide insights that support business decision-making.
* Coordinate field sales operations and ensure effective execution of company sales initiatives in assigned locations.
* Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management support to team members to improve overall effectiveness and results.
* Prepare regular sales reports, performance updates, and market intelligence reports for management review.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3–5 years relevant work experience in sales, channel management, business development, or related roles.
* Proven experience managing and leading a team of 5 or more employees successfully.
* Prior work experience with leading *mobile phone manufacturers* such as *Transsion, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung*, or similar organizations within the mobile device ecosystem.
* Experience working with *device financing/installment companies* such as *EasyBuy, M-KOPA, Watu Simu*, or similar companies will be highly advantageous.
* Strong network and access to *local distribution channels, retail stores, dealers, and sales outlets* within the mobile phone market.
* Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance targets in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
* Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly *result-oriented, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision*.
* Ability to analyze market opportunities and execute strategies that drive sustainable business growth.
