JOB DESCRIPTION: 3D ANIMATOR
About the Role
We are looking for a talented and creative 3D Animator to join our team and bring digital concepts, products, characters, and technological innovations to life through high-quality 3D animation.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of 3D modelling, rigging, animation, texturing, lighting, and rendering. The candidate will work closely with designers, developers, engineers, and project teams to create engaging animations for products, technology demonstrations, marketing campaigns, presentations, social media, and other digital platforms.
Experience creating humanoid, robotic, mechanical, product, or character animations will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Create high-quality 3D animations for products, characters, robots, machines, and digital concepts.
• Develop realistic and engaging movement, gestures, facial expressions, and interactions.
• Create and edit 3D models and prepare them for animation.
• Perform rigging and skinning of characters and mechanical models.
• Create animations based on storyboards, scripts, concepts, and project requirements.
• Develop product demonstrations and technology visualization animations.
• Work with designers and developers to ensure animations meet technical requirements.
• Create animations for websites, social media, advertisements, presentations, and promotional campaigns.
• Apply appropriate textures, materials, lighting, camera movements, and visual effects.
• Produce realistic or stylized animation depending on project requirements.
• Creating animation sequences for humanoid robots and other technological products where required.
• Render and export animations in appropriate formats and resolutions.
• Edit and refined animations based on feedback from project leads and clients.
• Maintain organized project files, models, textures, rigs, and animation assets.
• Collaborate with the creative and technical teams throughout the production process.
• Stay updated on current 3D animation techniques, software, tools, and industry trends.
• Ensure all completed work meets the company’s quality and brand standards.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, HND, OND, diploma, or equivalent training in Animation, 3D Design, Computer Graphics, Visual Arts, Multimedia, Game Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a 3D Animator or in a similar role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating 3D animation skills.
• Good understanding of animation principles, timing, movement, and storytelling.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling, rigging, texturing, lighting, and rendering.
• Ability to interpret concepts, scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Unity or Unreal Engine
