Job Title: Accountant
Location: Anthony, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday
Salary: ₦250,000 (Net)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, oversee accounting operations, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing transactions, and supporting the company’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and accounting documentation
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries and ledger management
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
* Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
* Monitor cash flow and track company expenses to ensure proper financial management
* Prepare and remit statutory payments including tax, pension, and other regulatory obligations
* Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies
* Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and reports
* Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records for reference and compliance purposes
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* 2–4 years relevant accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems)
* Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory deductions, and financial compliance requirements
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA or in view) is an added advantage
