Job Title: Accounting Officer

Salary: ₦350,000 monthly
About the Role
Marvel Advisory is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Officer to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support effective financial management. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience specifically within the construction or warehouse industry — this is a mandatory requirement.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
* Handle daily accounting transactions (income, expenses, invoices, receipts, payments)
* Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and reconciliations
* Manage accounts payable and receivable
* Monitor expenses, purchases, and other financial transactions
* Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
* Maintain records of inventory, stock movements, and related transactions
* Work with procurement, operations, warehouse, and management teams on financial reporting
* Monitor project-related expenses, particularly for construction activities
* Assist with budgeting, cash-flow monitoring, and financial planning
* Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records
* Support tax, audit, and statutory compliance requirements
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Minimum of 3 years’ professional accounting experience in the construction or warehouse industry (mandatory)
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Strong integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information
* ICAN qualification or relevant certification is a strong advantage
* Must be available to resume immediately
Note
Experience in accounting alone is not sufficient. Candidates without at least 3 years of relevant construction or warehouse accounting experience should not apply — such applications will not be considered.
