Business Development Officer
Business Area:Mobile Installment & Cash Loan Services
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to drive customer acquisition and merchant partnerships for our mobile installment and cash loan services in Nigeria. The role involves building sustainable offline and online acquisition channels, managing partnerships, and ensuring compliance with business and lending standards.

Key Responsibilities
 Develop and manage merchant channels (phone shops, retail stores, SMEs, and related businesses)
 Build partnerships for customer acquisition through offline and online platforms
Negotiate commission structures and partnership agreements
Train and support partners on product usage and customer onboardingMonitor channel performance, identify risks, and ensure compliance
Conduct market research and track competitors (e.g., OPay, FairMoney, Carbon)
Prepare performance reports and support strategy improvement

Requirements
Must-Have:
1+ year business development experience in Nigeria
Experience in fintech, lending, payments, retail, or related sectors
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to manage field operations and travel when required
Good understanding of merchant acquisition models

Preferred:
 Experience with fintech companies (OPay, PalmPay, FairMoney, etc.)
 Existing merchant or agent network
Basic Excel/reporting skills
Strong local market connections
