Chief of Staff (Office of the Group Chief Operating Officer)

📍 Location: Abuja, Nigeria

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time

💰 Salary: ₦650,000 – ₦700,000 Monthly

About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable, proactive, and execution-driven Chief of Staff to support the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCoO) in driving operational excellence across the organization.
This role goes beyond traditional executive support. The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner and force multiplier to the GCoO, helping to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, oversee site operations, monitor project execution, and ensure seamless alignment between executive decisions and operational delivery.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in both executive and field environments within a fast-paced real estate development setting.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support & Strategic Coordination
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic support to the GCoO.
Support the planning, prioritization, and execution of key business initiatives.
Prepare executive briefs, reports, presentations, and decision-support documents.
Track strategic priorities and ensure timely execution of action items.
Operational & Site Oversight
Coordinate operational activities across multiple project sites.
Monitor project progress, contractor performance, and compliance with timelines and quality standards.
Identify operational risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and drive timely resolution.
Conduct site visits as required to assess project status and operational effectiveness.
Project & Performance Management
Drive execution of cross-functional projects involving construction, procurement, finance, and commercial teams.
Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports.
Support the implementation of operational systems, policies, and process improvements.
Executive Office Management
Manage the GCoO’s schedule, priorities, and key engagements.
Coordinate leadership meetings, operational reviews, and executive forums.
Facilitate effective communication between the GCoO’s office and internal stakeholders.
Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a liaison between the GCoO and department heads, project managers, contractors, consultants, and external partners.
Follow up on action items and ensure accountability across teams.
Support the preparation and coordination of executive-level meetings and presentations.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions.
Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provide regular operational and performance updates to the GCoO.

Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.

Experience
5–10 years of experience in operations, project management, construction management, consulting, or executive support roles.
Experience within real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or related industries is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience working directly with senior executives such as a COO, CEO, Managing Director, or equivalent.
