HEAD OF ACCOUNTS

About the Company: A leading and fast-growing diversified company with interests across Oil amp; Gas, Real Estate, Aviation, Lifestyle, and Media is seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially astute Head of Accounts to lead its finance function. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership across the Group, strengthen financial controls and reporting, and support management in making sound business and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead and oversee the Groups finance and accounting operations across its diverse business interests.
•Develop and implement effective financial strategies, policies, controls, and processes. •Provide accurate and timely financial reports, management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
•Lead the annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
•Monitor cash flow, working capital, liquidity, and overall financial performance.
•Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
•Establish and maintain strong financial controls and risk-management frameworks. •Provide commercial and financial insights to the Executive Management and Board. •Oversee tax planning, statutory filings, audits, and relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
•Monitor business performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improved profitability and efficiency.
•Support strategic investments, business expansion, capital allocation, and other corporate finance initiatives.
•Lead, develop, and manage the finance team while promoting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Requirements •
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
•Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is required.
•Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with significant experience in a senior finance leadership role.
•Experience managing finance functions within a diversified group or multi-business environment will be highly advantageous.
•Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, financial controls, taxation, treasury, and corporate finance.
•Demonstrable experience in strategic financial planning and business performance management.
•Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
