About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Microbiologist to support routine microbiological testing and laboratory activities, including sample preparation, microbial culturing, analysis, documentation, and laboratory maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect, prepare, label, and process samples for microbiological testing.
* Prepare culture media, reagents, and laboratory materials.
* Perform routine microbial culturing, enumeration, staining, microscopy, and other tests.
* Apply proper aseptic techniques and laboratory safety procedures.
* Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment.
* Accurately record test results, observations, and laboratory activities.
* Monitor laboratory inventory, reagents, and consumables.
* Maintain clean and contamination-controlled work areas.
* Follow GLP, GMP, SOPs, and applicable safety requirements.
* Report abnormal results, equipment faults, and safety concerns.
* Support senior laboratory personnel and quality improvement activities.
Requirements
* B.Sc. in Microbiology or a closely related biological science discipline.
* 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience; fresh graduates with practical laboratory exposure may apply.
* Basic knowledge of microbial culturing, staining, microscopy, and aseptic techniques.
* Familiarity with GLP and GMP is an advantage.
* Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
* Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
