Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps and other mechanical/hydraulic equipment.
* Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency overhauls on pumps, motors, compressors, valves, and related equipment.
* Diagnose mechanical faults using testing and precision measuring instruments.
* Install, maintain, and repair production machinery, conveyor systems, pneumatic tools, and protective devices.
* Replace defective parts, carry out equipment alignment, and make necessary adjustments.
* Prepare maintenance reports and document completed activities.
Requirements
* OND/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience.
* Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
* Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
