Role Overview
The Project Manager will provide strategic oversight and leadership across all projects managed by Company, ensuring consistent project delivery, compliance with clients’ standards, and effective coordination of resident engineers and other construction crew.
This role will function as the crucial point of accountability for multiple concurrent projects, driving operational excellence, cost control, and timely completion while aligning with Company’s business objectives and client commitments.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Oversee, mentor, and supervise resident engineers, on-site project managers, and site representatives across all active projects being project managed by Company.
Establish consistent project management frameworks, tools, and reporting mechanisms across sites.
Serve as the primary liaison between project sites and Company headquarters, ensuring alignment with company strategy and client expectations.
Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations across multiple sites.
Monitor project performance against agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Identify interdependencies and risks between projects and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, coordination, and finance to support project delivery.
Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and environmental requirements.
Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with construction quality standards and contract specifications.
Function as Company’s representative to clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
Lead project review meetings with senior management and external partners.
Provide clear, data-driven progress reports and recommendations to management and clients.
Qualifications and Other Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
PMP certification is highly desirable.
Active membership in COREN and other related bodies
Applicant should be between the age bracket of 35 above.
Minimum of 15 years of project management experience, with at least 8 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects in reputable construction companies in Nigeria
Proven experience managing multiple large-scale infrastructure or building projects at once.
Strong understanding of Nigerian building regulations and QHSE standards
Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Proficiency in project management tools
Willingness to travel frequently.
