Team Lead – Relationship Management

Location: Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria

 

Job Summary

OmniPay is seeking an experienced and result-driven Team Lead – Relationship Management to drive customer acquisition, portfolio growth, and relationship management activities within the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong banking and financial services experience, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to manage client relationships, sales performance, and field operations effectively.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience from Jaiz Bank or TAJBank due to their strong understanding of relationship management, financial products, and customer engagement within structured banking environments.

The successful candidate will oversee relationship officers, support business growth initiatives, manage merchant and customer relationships, and ensure operational excellence across assigned territories.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and coordinate Relationship Officers within the assigned region to achieve business and performance targets.
Drive customer acquisition, merchant onboarding, and portfolio expansion initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, customers, and strategic business partners.
Monitor field activities and ensure effective execution of sales and relationship management strategies.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase market penetration and revenue generation.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management support to team members.
Ensure excellent customer experience and prompt resolution of client issues and escalations.
Prepare and submit periodic sales, performance, and market intelligence reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, risk, compliance, and customer support to ensure smooth service delivery.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends within the region to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and operational procedures.
Support collection, recovery, and account management activities where necessary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.
Minimum of 4–6 years relevant experience in relationship management, sales, banking operations, or financial services.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing field teams or relationship officers.
Strong preference for candidates with experience from Jaiz Bank or TAJBank.
Strong understanding of customer relationship management and financial products.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and business communication tools.
Good knowledge of the Jos market and surrounding regions is an added advantage.
