Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000 (Net)

Workforce Group is recruiting on behalf of a client in the financial services sector for an experienced Risk & Control Lead to strengthen risk management and internal control frameworks.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the organization’s risk management and internal control functions, ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and a robust risk culture.

Key Responsibilities
– Develop and maintain enterprise risk and internal control frameworks
– Identify and monitor operational, credit, market, and digital risks
– Conduct risk assessments, control testing, and monitor KRIs
– Maintain risk registers and track mitigation plans
– Lead incident reporting, root cause analysis, and remediation
– Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, AML/CFT, and KYC requirements
– Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal control assessments
– Drive risk awareness and training across teams
– Prepare periodic risk reports for management and stakeholders

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk, Law, or related field
– 3–5 years’ experience in risk, audit, compliance, or internal control (banking/microfinance preferred)
– Professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA, CISA, CRM) are an added advantage
– Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory compliance
