About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules for major Oil & Gas projects. The successful candidate will support project planning, progress measurement, schedule analysis, forecasting, reporting, and project controls to ensure timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
* Prepare project baselines, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and project execution schedules.
* Monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and recommend recovery plans.
* Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
* Conduct schedule risk analysis, forecasting, and critical path analysis.
* Coordinate planning activities with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project teams.
* Monitor project performance against approved schedules.
* Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule updates to stakeholders.
* Ensure planning activities comply with company procedures and project requirements.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 10 years’ planning experience, preferably within Oil & Gas, EPC, or EPIC projects.
* Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
* Strong experience in project scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and project controls.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Willingness to relocate to Warri.
